A 47-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic wall collapse incident in Palghar district, Maharashtra, on Thursday. According to Vivekanand Kadam, chief of the Palghar District Disaster Management Cell, the incident occurred at Agripada village when the victim was attempting to prevent rainwater from flooding her home. The deceased has been identified as Rubiya Shabir Sayyad.
A portion of the lean-to veranda of her house had previously collapsed, leaving the structure in a fragile state. While Rubiya was clearing the rubble, the remaining part of the veranda wall suddenly caved in. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
