The Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS) in Tirap district recently organised a two-day educational and motivational tour for its students. The tour aimed to provide experiential learning beyond the classroom, fostering patriotism, cultural awareness, and a deeper appreciation of Arunachal Pradesh’s rich heritage. On the first day of the tour, which took place on June 27, the students visited the Golden Pagoda in Namsai.
This visit gave them valuable insights into the region’s spiritual and cultural heritage, as well as an opportunity to admire the architectural grandeur of one of the state’s most prominent Buddhist monasteries. The Golden Pagoda is a significant cultural landmark, and the students were able to learn about its importance in the region. On the second day of the tour, the students visited the historic Pangsau Pass.
This visit enabled them to learn about the pass’s geographical significance and its important role in the history of the region. The students were able to better understand the strategic and historical importance of this iconic landmark. In addition to these educational visits, the students also visited the headquarters of the 25 Sector Assam Rifles.
During this visit, they interacted with the deputy inspector general (DIG), who addressed the students and encouraged them to pursue excellence through discipline, dedication, and education. The DIG also inspired the students to become responsible citizens and contribute positively to society. Overall, the two-day tour was a valuable learning experience for the students of ARPS, providing them with a deeper understanding of Arunachal Pradesh’s rich heritage and cultural significance.
