A rigorous three-day child labour inspection drive was conducted across Aalo township by the West Siang District Task Force on Child and Adolescent Labour. The drive aimed to protect vulnerable children and was part of the ongoing Pan-India Rescue and Rehabilitation Campaign 4.0, initiated by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The campaign seeks to identify and rescue minors engaged in child labour.
Over the course of three days, the team inspected major commercial hubs, including hotels, restaurants, and shops, to ensure that business owners are held accountable for adhering to child labour laws. The operation covered high-traffic commercial zones across the Old & New Market areas, Paktu, Gumin Nagar, Yojyora, Siyom Colony, and the Hissam area. The inspections were led by District Labour Officer Aseng Pertin, alongside local police personnel and dedicated grassroots community members from the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society and Mother’s Vision.
Violators have been strictly ordered to present themselves before the Child Welfare Committee court for immediate legal action.
