Miss Universe Arunachal Pradesh 2026 1st runner-up and Miss Multimedia title-holder Anchali Peyang received a warm welcome upon her arrival in East Siang district. Peyang, who is also the reigning Miss Lune 2025, has emerged as one of the state’s most promising young beauty pageant contestants. The warm reception was accorded by well-wishers, friends, and supporters in Pasighat.
BBYK spokesperson Dangki Ering expressed happiness over Peyang’s success, stating that the organisation and the people of the district are proud of her achievement. He appreciated her dedication, perseverance, and hard work in representing East Siang on a prestigious platform. Peyang’s maternal uncle, Orin Ratan, described her achievement as a source of inspiration for many young people in the district.
Peyang expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and affection she has received from the community. She credited her mother as her greatest source of inspiration and motivation throughout her journey. Peyang’s next goal is to win the Miss Arunachal title while continuing to focus on her academics.
She emphasised the importance of balancing education with personal ambitions and encouraged young women to work hard towards their dreams. Many attendees described her achievement as a proud moment for East Siang and expressed confidence that she would continue to excel in the field of pageantry while serving as a role model for aspiring youths across the state. Peyang is currently a student at RGU and works as a part-time reporter with the Eastern Post, a news channel based in Arunachal Pradesh.
