The officers and staff of the Tirap deputy commissioner’s office, along with officials from various departments in the mini secretariat, bid farewell to deputy commissioner Techu Aran on his retirement from government service upon attaining the age of superannuation. The occasion also marked the retirement of upper division clerk Thohang Tangjang and chowkidar Ato Wangham on the same day. In his address, Aran recalled how he began his career as an LDC and, through perseverance, discipline, and hard work, had the privilege of retiring as the DC of Tirap.

He described his journey in government service as one of the greatest blessings of his life, saying every position in government service carries equal dignity and importance. Aran urged all government employees to treat every individual with respect and kindness, irrespective of rank or designation. He emphasized that humility, discipline, and sincerity are the qualities that truly define a person.

Aran encouraged officers to remain accessible to the public, reminding them that public service is built on empathy, trust, and compassion. He thanked every officer and staff member for their unwavering support, cooperation, and friendship throughout his tenure, saying their collective efforts made his journey in Tirap both meaningful and memorable. Tangjang and Wangham expressed their gratitude to their colleagues for their support and camaraderie.

They also wished everyone good health, success, and fulfillment as they continue their service to the people. Senior administrative officers described Aran as one of the most calm, composed, and approachable DCs they had ever worked with. They recalled his ability to lead with patience and wisdom, his humility in dealing with people from all walks of life, and his unwavering commitment to public welfare.

Many shared that, despite holding the highest administrative office in the district, he remained grounded, soft-spoken, and readily accessible to officers, staff, and members of the public alike. His quiet leadership and humane approach earned him not only respect but genuine affection from everyone around him. Officers and staff from different departments also shared cherished memories of working with the outgoing DC and extended their heartfelt wishes to all three retirees on their superannuation.

As a mark of respect and appreciation, the retirees were presented with traditional gifts and mementoes in recognition of their invaluable service to the government and the people of Tirap. Government officials, including Khonsa ADC Namneet Singh, SDO Tana Bapu, and ACs Yowa Anya and NL Naam, were present at the farewell programme.
