The All Lower Siang District Law Students’ Union (ALSDLSU) has filed a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) over alleged large-scale corruption and financial irregularities in the 132 kv transmission line project in Kangku circle, Lower Siang district. The complaint, submitted to the ACB SP, was made on behalf of affected customary landowners from Balisori to Kamcham villages in Kangku circle. Serious offences, including large-scale corruption, criminal conspiracy, and misappropriation of public funds, were alleged. The union claimed that fraudulent compensation claims and disbursement, abuse of official position, and fabrication and manipulation of beneficiary records had occurred. A thorough and impartial investigation was urged.

The union requested the SP to register an FIR against those named in the complaint, identify every individual involved in the alleged corruption, and recover any wrongfully disbursed public funds. Strict action against those found responsible was also sought. Furthermore, the union called for a fresh joint survey, lawful assessment, and fair compensation for genuine and deprived landowners. The complaint was filed in the larger public interest to ensure transparency in public projects and protect genuine beneficiaries.
