A tragic accident occurred in Chamarajanagar district on Monday, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuring nine others. The incident involved a KSRTC bus traveling from M.M. Hills to Mysuru, which toppled over at Maduvanahalli in Kollegal taluk. Two fatalities were reported, including a man and a woman.

The deceased woman was identified as an anganwadi worker who had been assigned as a Booth Level Officer (BLO) and was on her way back to Mysuru. The bus was carrying approximately 60 passengers when the accident occurred. According to preliminary reports, the vehicle lost control due to a tyre burst, leading to the devastating consequences.

Fortunately, except for the nine passengers who suffered severe injuries, the rest of the passengers escaped with minor injuries. The injured were promptly provided medical attention, with six being admitted to the Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) and three others being shifted to hospitals in Mysuru for further treatment.
