The Karnataka government is set to launch the ‘Prajaseva Abhiyan’, an initiative aimed at addressing the grievances of the public at their doorsteps. As part of this drive, district in-charge Ministers have been instructed to cover two constituencies every month. The program will be held on the first and third Saturdays of every month, ensuring that citizens have regular opportunities to voice their concerns and seek resolutions.
District-level officers from all departments will be present during the abhiyan, working together to address the grievances and provide solutions. The Chief Minister emphasized that this initiative will prevent people from having to travel to Bengaluru to seek assistance. Local legislators will also participate in the abhiyan, further strengthening the government’s commitment to public service.
In a related development, senior IAS officer Harsh Gupta has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the newly created Prajaseva Department. Gupta, who is also the Chairman of the Karnataka Appellate Authority, will play a key role in overseeing the implementation of the Prajaseva Abhiyan. The Chief Minister has also announced plans to travel to taluks to participate in the abhiyan, demonstrating his personal commitment to the initiative.
To facilitate the process, application forms will be provided to citizens with grievances, which can be filled and submitted at designated counters.
